MICHELLE LI
Founder & CEO, CPA Delaware, MST
Michelle was a Senior Tax Manager in the ITS – U.S. Core practice at a big four international accounting firm. With more than 25 years of professional experience, she has advised both private and public companies, providing a broad range of services including accounting, auditing, tax consulting, and Canadian and U.S. tax compliance.
Since 2016, Michelle has been an active member of Asia-Pacific Initiatives Committee, supporting cross-border business engagement and client development in the Asia-Pacific region. She worked closely with Chinese investors and clients on merger and acquisition opportunities and related tax advisory services. Notably, she successfully coordinated the acquisition of a Quebec-based real estate asset (G8 heritage hotel) by a Chinese real estate company in 2014.
Prior to immigrating to Canada, Michelle spent eight years at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, gaining foundational experience in the financial services sector. Michelle is fluent in Mandarin and English and has a functional working proficiency in French.
In addition to her professional career, Michelle has been actively involved in non-profit governance. Since May 2012, she has served as Treasurer and Board Member of a Montréal-based charitable organization with operations in Canada, the United States, and several European countries. From November 2017 to August 2019, she also served as Treasurer and Board Member of CCSMEs (Canada–China Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Chinese and Canadian SMEs engaged in bilateral trade.
Beyond her advisory and governance roles, Michelle is actively engaged as a business owner in both the hospitality and creative industries.
JULIA CHOO
Accounting Manager, BA in Accountancy
Julia Choo (she/her) brings a strong combination of accounting knowledge, practical experience, and client care to her work. With a background in full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, remittances, and personal income tax preparation, she supports clients with accuracy, patience, and attention to detail.
A graduate of Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business in Accountancy, Julia is also currently pursuing the US CPA designation. Her experience across multiple industries has equipped her with the ability to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll and tax filings, and financial reporting with confidence.
Since 2021, she has also prepared personal tax returns through the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, further strengthening her knowledge in individual taxation and compliance. Julia is fluent in English and Mandarin and is able to assist clients from diverse backgrounds with professionalism and care.
